The derelict Pier at Swanage, you can just make out The Isle of Wight in the distance
Thoughts and images from the adventures of a would be garden design and horticultural student as she trips around the British countryside in search of gardens that delight.

Hi Zoë, lovely picture you are sharing with us today, it almost looks inviting! LOLove Tyra
Lovely picture: that sea looks so blue, doesn't it? I love that area of Dorset. I've got a picture of my husband and kids sitting beneath a pine tree on the cliff above Studland Bay, and everyone always asks if it's the south of France.
What a fantastic photo!
This is so beautiful Zoe! I love the colours and the composition. so neat how you can follow the pier to a view of the island in the distance.

I took this one on Boxing Day and wouldn't recommend anyone taking a dip; it was blowing a gale and so bitterly cold my ears and nose went numb! Got some lovely photos though and the low late afternoon light was beautiful.
What a atmospheric picture
Great picture - full marks for composition.
My camera battery doesn't like cold weather very much so until I learn how to overcome this I think I will be a fair weather photographer.
The color of the water is so soothing and relaxing.
Zoe,
Beautiful photograph...goodness the sea is so blue! Gail
Beautiful composition, Zoe! That blue is just lovely.
First thing I thought was oh no!, I'll have to jump all these and not land in the water. It is a beautiful photo of old and new. The reason I am so weary is cause of a video game my son got for Christmas....he's grown but we all stay play those silly things. So..one of the games requires you to cross one of these bridges and not fall in the water...yea right! We've all been stuck on that step.
Hi Zoe
Although Swanage isn't far from where I live, it's a bit of a trek without a car and I've only been there twice.
(When the train goes through from Wareham, I expect I'll go more.)
Like the photo though - it takes one's mind post-hopping, even if one wouldn't attempt it in real life . . . so it's quite appropriate for this blog!

Stunning photo - love the way the derelict pier leads out towards the Isle of Wight
